Lara's birthday is coming up and we want you members to join in on our celebration of Lara Croft and the "day" she was shown to the world.

On Lara's birthday, there will be several different kinds of celebration.

Tomb Raider Meme Contest: If you aren't aware of what a meme is, a meme is by definition, "In its most basic form, an Internet meme is simply an idea that is propagated through the Web. This idea may take the form of a hyperlink, video, website, hash-tag, or even just a word or phrase." There are two wonderful memes that were made here on deviantART honoring Tomb Raider. We will be having a contest on the best meme made, using both creativity and skill. You can choose either one of the two memes below to use. Do it however you like and submit it to the group, in our new folder, "Meme Contest Entries". There will only be one winner, however. The winner will be featured in =Forty-Fathoms's journal, and an art piece of the winner's choice of anything related to Lara Croft or Tomb Raider. Here are these the two memes to choose from:

Loving Lara Through the Years: Lara has changed a lot since 1996 to 2012. She was made up of 230 polygons and by the time Tomb Raider: Underworld was released, she became as of right now, the most detail game character ever with 32,816 rendered polygons. She has gone from her brown shorts and blue-green tank top, to a black formal dress. I will be asking in the groups journal on your opinions of Lara's ever changing look and attitude. This will consist of what is your favorite Lara from the series, your favorite outfit and has the changing of Lara into the reboot of the franchise (Tomb Raider 2012) helped further her character. Questions of that nature will all be asked, and comments on the journal are where you can put your answers.

Honoring Lara with Art: Obviously, many people enjoy Lara Croft and the amazing games she has had by doing their own renditions of her in all sorts of styles, cosplay, digital art, traditional art, crafts, design, etc. We want to see how much Lara means to you and by doing so, if you have dedicated a picture for Lara's birthday in the past here on deviantART or you made one just for her birthday this time around, we will be featuring it here in our journal so that everyone can see just how much you love Lara.

What was your favorite ________? I'm sure many of you have played the entire series at one point and some of you may just be new to the games. Either way, if you have played even one of the games, I'll be asking what your favorite level was, perhaps? Your favorite boss to fight? Your favorite character (other than Lara, of course)? You're favorite weapon to use? This part will surround strictly with the favorites of everyone.

How Strong Is Your Love for Lara? We'd all like to claim were are the biggest Tomb Raider fans in existence, but there are some who so dedicated to Lara, it's clearly noticeable. When this particular celebration part comes up, trivia questions will be asked. Detailed ones as well. We really hope you won't look them up during the trivia test, because whoever answers the most trivia questions, will be rewarded with 20 points ()! The questions will range from the basics of Lara, to the comic book series, to the movies, games, artists who have worked on Lara Croft's image in the past and more!

Participating, 'The Easy Way': One thing we would like to add for our members is that if you participate in our celebration of Lara's birthday, not only will at least one piece of your artwork from your gallery be featured in our journal, but will be placed in =Forty-Fathoms's upcoming journal to show how much we appreciate you participating in the celebration. You only have to participate in one celebration to receive a feature but we would love it if you participated in all of the activities we have planned!
